Discover Our Passion for Astronomy and Telescopes
At Doc Telescope, we build custom Dobsonian telescopes for passionate astronomers across the globe.
Since the beginning, we’ve helped both amateurs and professionals enhance their stargazing experience with handcrafted, fully tailored instruments.
Each telescope is designed around the specific needs of its owner — from portability and stability to planetary imaging and deep-sky precision.
Who we are
My name is Marco Guidi, I’m the founder of Doc Telescope and builder of custom Dobsonian telescopes designed for both planetary and deep-sky observers.
I’m also an astrophotographer specializing in the bodies of our Solar System. You can see my work here. Since 2004, I’ve contributed regularly to astronomical databases such as UAI, ALPO Japan, and PVOL.
In 2016, I had the honor of collaborating on the NASA JUNO mission, capturing high-resolution imagery of Jupiter. That same dedication to precision and beauty now lives in every telescope we build.

What we do
- New telescope builds | Structures designed from scratch, built around your optical specs.
- Optical Tube Assemblies (OTAs) | We integrate your mirrors into a solid, transportable Dobsonian design.
- Telescope Modifications | We rework existing telescopes, improving rigidity and usability.
- Bespoke Engineering | Design from zero: mirror size, focal length, materials, and use cases.
